Adjunctive EMDR

Adjunctive EMDR is short-term EMDR therapy offered in collaboration with your primary therapist. It’s designed to help when talk therapy is going well overall, but something specific feels stuck—such as a past trauma, phobia, or unresolved emotional block that’s hard to move through.

As an adjunctive EMDR therapist, I don’t replace your existing therapist. Instead, I offer focused EMDR sessions to help you process what’s keeping you stuck, with the goal of supporting and enhancing the progress you’re already making. This can be especially helpful for single-incident traumas like car accidents or injuries, or when certain memories or emotional triggers feel persistent despite good insight.

I collaborate with both you and your primary therapist to ensure consistency and continuity in your overall care. Adjunctive work typically involves a limited number of sessions—enough to target and resolve the specific issue—after which you continue with your main therapist for ongoing support and integration.
